Well if your using both of them at the same time then you might want to wait 10 to 20 minutes and keep the case charging before removing the AirPods but if your using them one at a time leave them in for 30-40 minutes.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how long you use them for. I go a few hours and don't have to charge. The one time I ran out of juice when using I put them back in their case maybe for 10 minutes and got at least another hour out of them.
