I believe you can trade if that’s what you’re asking. Depending on the condition of your 1st Gen. will determine how much less you can pay for the second Gen.

You could probably sell them on Facebook marketplace or eBay, and use the money to purchase the second generation at a reduced price around the holidays or the occasional sale, like the one that’s going on now were they are $50 off the second generation version, although earphones don’t hold their overall value very well, as even the most updated versions are quickly less valuable, when supposedly better versions come out every three or four months from different producers or manufacturers. If one is not careful, one can end up with the best version of earphones, every three or four months… and own twenty-six pairs pretty quickly.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The AirPods and AirPods Pro 2nd generation are two different products. AirPods Pro come with a MagSafe charging case. These also allow for passive listening or noise cancellation which I do not think regular AirPods could do. If you are talking about a trade in program I think that apple and Best Buy both have some sort of trade in program.
