I strongly suspect the eartips aren’t 100% silicone, and probably contain latex. There are numerous reports (including me) of users experiencing itchy ears, with flaking, crusting, and fluid discharge at the ear canal entrance.

I didn't have crust or leakage, but I did think for a while I had ear mites i was scratching so much. bought an offmarket ear tip said it was latex free and it doesn't itch: but it does keep my buds from setting right in the case, and they're often at zero power when I want them. Boo. Tim Cook please copy. We can tell, and want them latex free.
