The material the case is made of and the watch face (the normal watch crystal). Is much better more scratch resistant and to my eyes clearer on the stainless watch. The aluminum body watch. Insides are the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are a few differences: Stainless Steel vs Aluminum 1. Sapphire glass vs Ion-x 2. Stainless steel vs Aluminum (note: the black stainless steel is DLC coated (diamond like coating) so it's much more scratch resistant than plain stainless. 3. Ceramic back vs Composite plastic back (HR Sensor area) 4. 16gb storage vs 8gb storage (Wifi+LTE vs Wifi) 5. Weight 38/42mm: 42.4g/52.8g vs 38/42mm: 28.7g/34.9g
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Stainless version has the artificial Sapphire lens and the case is made of stainless steel. Essentially its a more durable version of the watch as Sapphire is more scratch resistant than the ion glass and steel is stronger than aluminum. Of course its just more scratch resistant - not invulnerable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The aluminum Watch is a little bit lighter but a little less durable compared to the stainless steel. There basically just two different kinds of metal. Stainless steel is 4 times harder then the aluminum Watch so if you are rough with your watch, the stainless steel might be the way to go. However. I had an aluminum series 2 Watch and I always hit it on corners or doors and what not and haven’t gotten a single scratch. It’s just different material but it in no way changes how the watch operates.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The stainless steel is much more tougher, durable, and shinier. The aluminum case is easier to break, comes in more colors, such as silver, rose gold, gold, etc. The stainless steel comes in a silver finish and a space gray finish. The biggest difference of all is that only the stainless steel can be used with a cellular network and the aluminum can only be used via bluetooth connectivity to your iPhone.
