• A:Answer If you don't need the cellular service, I recommend getting just the Wifi version. You'll save money and be able to use this iPad anywhere there is a wifi connection, as well as load books through the kindle app.

• A:Answer You don’t need cellular service for GPS to work. Only the minis that have cellular capability have GPS. Not sure if you can buy it without activating cell service.
