- Answer I just purchased one and it cost $10 / month to add it to my existing VERIZON plan + $40 one time activation fee. I don't know what it would cost without an existing plan.

- Answer I haven't a clue - I'd call them. I do my online purchases with their help as well if it's a complicated purchase. Most people don't even know that you can get a hot tablet through a carrier. You can also purchase one that's NOT through a carrier for less money if you know what you're doing and what to buy (just like phones). They can be purchased unlocked, so all of the features are out there for you to explore. sorry I can't be of more help. I opted for the Black Friday special at best buy as they were the best and most helpful people to deal with when I did my shopping.
