Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I paid for the iPhone 11 Prod max in full after confirming multiple times with the sales guy who told me this phone can be used in another country as soon as i buy it. I made sure the sales guy talks the cell phone division head at that store to confirm. But i found out the hard way that iphones are now locked to be used on Verizon network/sim for 60 days and then will be auto unlocked. I was already in another country trying to activate the phone with a local(to that country) sim without any success. I called the Verizon customer care and they said the phone is apple locked. I went to the apple store who told me its verizon locked. I called Verizon again and after 4 hours of waiting and escalations, Verizon finally unlocked it for me. To avoid the 40$ activation fee you need to wait for the store to have the phone in stock to walk in and buy it, If you order it online Verizon will charge you a 40$ activation fee. This is why Verizon locked iphones 11 Pros are almost always not in stock at BestBuys stores to push ppl to order it online and pay that 40$ fee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is locked but after you pay off the phone you can have Verizon unlock it. Locked vs unlocked only come into play if you plan to move the phone to another wireless provider.
