No, this model is locked to Total Wireless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, ROG My SE -- which I ordered from this same BestBuy listing -- arrived today. It was shrink-wrapped & brand new (as the BB Chat rep assured me on Friday). I can confirm that, as with any new iPhone nowadays, you would get Apple's standard 1-year limited warranty & 90 days' free "tech support." Additional AppleCare service is an option when you put the SE in your BestBuy Shopping Cart: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/applecare/applecare-plus-for-iphone/pcmcat748300454270.c?id=pcmcat748300454270 The SE itself is compatible with CDMA, GSM, UMTS, and LTE, But you won't be able to use a CDMA phone (or SIM card) after December of this year; Verizon will be LTE-only in 2020, which is the reason I started looking for a new phone to replace my current, basic flip phone. This particular SE model can only be activated via the included SIM card from Total Wireless (which, yep, uses Verizon's networks). As notarealgamer said, Total Wireless's stated policy is that TW won't unlock the phone until you've accumulated 12 months' paid service with TW -- unless you're in the military and are deployed overseas. FYI: the new 32GB SEs that have been making sporadic, and fleeting, appearances on Apple's Clearance page have had a purchase price of $249. I was happy to save $110 + taxes on the upfront purchase price by getting this SE from BestBuy.

According to TW website, you can request it be unlocked after 12 months of service (I think their cheapest plans come in at $25/mo). I believe that models that work on Verizon also work on GSM networks, as long as the phone is unlocked. As for the one year Apple warranty, I do believe that the phone comes with that, regardless of carrier but I can’t confirm. If you’re looking for a new unlocked SE, this isn’t it unless you’re willing to go with the MNVO for a year. If you need it unlocked, keep checking Apple’s clearance site as a supply of SEs sold within hours this week.
