Yes... these iPods are just like a iPhone, WITHOUT the phone part. It will NEED to be on a Wi-Fi network in order to access FB or any other streaming service because it does NOT have cellular service. So if your in the car and you have a cell phone that can act like a hot spot, you can turn it on and allow the iPod to join your hot spot network or it can join you home network.
