• I have never used any Apple monitors, mouses, or keyboards with my minis. No problems.

• if they are bluetooth, yes. There's a weird keyboard setup to identify the keyboard layout. If you have usb you'll probably need to buy a usb a to c adapter. I have a Razer keyboard connected to mine.

• I don't know how old you units are, but they should work just fine. I'm using my older wireless keyboard and mouse. Neither are an Apple brand. If you are using wired units with USB-A connections you will need 2 adapters. I just bought a pack of 2 for less than $10.00.
