The memory is enough. Depending what applications and what you store on your laptop, 256GB should be enough, but you may have to clear it out once in a while. Get the 512 just to be safe if you have the spending budget. You can also get a USB-C storage dongle thing, for cheap.

I use this model for a lot of writing and photo editing as well as podcast recording and editing and it’s been more than capable in terms of memory but my only regret is not getting more storage so i bought an external hard drive.
