What operating system (generation) is this Mac? null

I bought this MacBook Pro as a gift for my mother, so I'm not sure which version of macOS is pre-installed on the computer. However, when you complete the initial setup you'll be prompted to download and install the latest version of macOS (currently High Sierra Version 10.13.3). Apple does not charge users to update their Macs to the latest OS, in case you were wondering ;-). Hope this helps!
