The difference between the Pro and Max versions of the M3 chips comes down to amount of CPU and GPU cores each possess. Apple's M3 Pro comes in two configurations. The base variant ships with an 11-core CPU and a 14-core GPU, whereas the higher trim offers a 12-core CPU and an 18-core GPU. Although the processor has the same Neural Engine as the regular M3, it provides 150GB/s memory bandwidth, which is 50% more. The M3 Max comes in two models. The base variant has a 14-core CPU and 30-core GPU and ships with 36GB of unified memory. Meanwhile, the top trim has a 16-core CPU, a 40-core GPU, and 48GB of unified memory. These numbers clarify that the M3 Max offers more graphical prowess than the M3 Pro.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Long story short, the Max chip has more CPU and GPU cores, more RAM options, better memory bandwidth, and better media engines.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.waiting for the punchline lol, but about 20 cores of performance!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.M3 Max has more CPU and GPU Cores. For better compute and graphics.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The difference between the M3 lineups is their graphic performance. The M3 base model has 10 GPU cores, compared to 14 for the M3 Pro and 30 for the M3 Max. The M3 Max has twice as many GPU cores as the M3 Pro and three times as many GPU cores as the M3.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second execution). I would say, if you're not one who generally has about 40 windows open, or you're doing video editing, music creation or the like, the PRO chip will likely more than suffice. This is for heavy duty.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the M2 chip as well as the M3 Max, they’re both flawless, I would imagine the M3 max is much faster and can handle any strenuous tasks at a much higher level and efficiency
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While both chips are powerful enough for any task, the M3 Max chip performs faster than the M3 Pro. For example, it can render quicker
