• Mine came with Yosemite (OSX 10.10) but I updated to El Capitan (OSX 10.11), a free update BTW.

• Mac OSX 10.10.4 (great build, leave it). DO NOT update to 10.10.5, as your laptop will become a paper-weight. wait for Apple to address the issue.

• Yes. The operating system is the latest system. It also automatically downloads the updated version so you will always have the most recent Operating System. Everything runs smoothly, and applications get updated too. Old software might not be able to keep up, so keep that in mind when uploading Office or Adobe products,

• When you purchase the MacBook Pro it comes with Mac OS X Lion v10.8, I've since upgraded it to El Capitan ver 10.11.4

• If you did the latest upgrade, it will be Mac OS 10.10.5. Mine originally had 10.10.4 on it.
