• Yes. It should be pre installed. If for some reason it is not then you can download it for free just by visiting Apple's website of typing in www.quicktime.com while using the safari web browser.

• Yes. Your MacBook includes QuickTime. QuickTime is included with Apple system software. Every version of OS X since Snow Leopard includes QuickTIme X, which is the latest version of the video player software. If you want to create content using QuickTime, you need a license key to QuickTime Pro. Apple used to charge $25 for the upgrade from QuickTime player to QuickTime Pro. Paying the money for the upgrade gave you a license that unlocked previously installed features in your copy of QuickTime player. Apple also gave you a license to QuickTime Pro when you bought their professional applications like Final Cut Pro or Logic Studio. Most people don't need QuickTime Pro.
