A:Answer I have only had a problem with the cursor not moving on a magic mouse when the mouse's optical system has been damaged or worn out. If it is a new mouse, I would ensure that there is nothing blocking the optical tracker, which is located on the bottom of the mouse to the left of the on/off switch. If the optical tracker is clean and there is nothing that is blocking it, I would try a different surface to move the mouse over. I use a soft mouse pad upon which to move my mouse, but sometime my mouse works better on my desk surface, a piece of paper, etc. If that doesn't work and the mouse is new, I would send it back and get a new one.
