Yes...I’m currently using my 2nd gen Magic Trackpad with a 2012 Mac Mini. Even though Apple says you need a newer Mac with Bluetooth 4.0 it still worked fine with my older Mac. Just plugged it in using the USB cable to to Mac, and it synced up immediately, and has been working fine wireless ever since. I think the requirement for BT4.0 is actually due to BT4.0 being better with power...so their battery life ratings require it.

Read the specs to find out if you need Bluetooth 4.0 or higher for example and then look to make sure your mini,supports the Bluetooth standard required. My 2011 iMac worked with the Magic Mouse 2 which had the same technology as this pad ( I'm guessing)
