Please click on the Apple logo top left then click about this Mac then click the information to see which exact model you have to determine if it’s compatible. I have the mid 2012 MacBook Pro and this charger works for it.

• A:Answer There are 2 ways to plug the charger into an outlet. For the method you pictured, you connect directly to the Magsafe block. The 2nd method is actually considered an extension cord. Either will work to plug in the charger in an outlet, but most prefer the extension cord since it is longer.
