Does this work with a Pelican protective case null

Depends on if it’s a MagSafe equipped case. It will still probably work, but the connection will be very weak.

Not unless it has a magesafe ring built into the case. It’s possible it could work through the case depending how small the case is but will not stick to it without the magnetic ring.
