• It does work with the new mini (6th gen) but swiping up from the bottom is the one thing that’s very difficult.

• The 2nd Gen pencils doesn’t seem to be compatible with any mini iPads in my searches. Sorry. But the first one should be able to do what you wanting to do. It’s a quality and good stylus.

• Yes this can be used and adjusted in the settings. There are settings for palm rejection as well as dedicating the pencil for writing use only.
