If you have an iPad with AppleCare+ you can call them to add it to that plan. You need to ask for the agreement admin.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Apple allows up to 60 days to add Apple Care or Apple Care+ for qualifying items. The option is available for purchase in store at the time of purchase or can be found under settings in compatible devices. The cost varies depending on device and level of coverage chosen at time of purchase. However, currently the Apple Pencil is only covered by Apple Care if you have a covered iPad device that is compatible with the Apple Pencil. You don’t have to buy them at the same time, but you do have to activate Apple Care for the eligible iPad within the 60 days following the purchase of the iPad. Unfortunately, right now Apple does not offer extended coverage for owners of only the Apple Pencil. Here’s a link to Apple Care and their available coverage options for compatible devices, I hope this helps! https://www.apple.com/support/products
