Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This has the Thunderbolt 1 and 2 male connector. You'll need the Thunderbolt 1 or 2 female connector on your computer or your peripheral hub in order to use it to connect to your Gigabit Ethernet/router. IF you need to connect though a Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C port. I recommend the Insignia, plug and play, Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (NS-PUCGE8).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its a 3.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Neither. It's a USB-C drive, which shares an identical interface with Thunderbolt 3. So, for example, if you have a MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 ports, you can plug this drive into one of them and it will work because those ports also work with USB-C. It is definitely NOT Thunderbolt 2 or 1, different size interface. You would not used it with a Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter because you could just as easily use the provided USB-3 cable and go directly to the older computer that way.
