A:AnswerIt should be fine, I have 18-20, & for the past three months I’ve had it. Only had 14-18 pause/stutters and it lasted for less than 10 seconds with the 4K version. Regular tv isn’t worth it imo.
A:AnswerJust the Apple TV and the remote. You have to purchase a HD HDMI cable. I got some from Amazon because Best Buy doesn’t sell any that go up to 48 Gbps
A:AnswerNo, but you can view some local channels using a free app called Pluto TV. Currently, it is only available in a few major markets, though. You could receive over-the-air broadcasts and use your TV's built-in tuner with an antenna. I am testing using an HD antenna to connected to a SiliconDust HD HomeRun Extend box. The SiliconDust unit receives the signal freely over-the-air then allows the various channels to be sent over your home's wired and wireless network. You then view the channels through an app on your Apple TV, phone, iPad/tablet, or any computer. It's a bit complicated but if you're willing to invest in it, it does work well.
Another solution would be to subscribe to DirecTV Now, which is DirecTV's streaming service. It is much less expensive than cable but has local channels and the vast majority of cable channels too. I believe DirecTV Now starts at $40/month.
The biggest problem is the TV networks and local stations have gotten reliant on the revenue stream from cable distribution rather than advertising alone. It will be interesting to see what happens as more and more people ditch cable.
A:AnswerYes, it works beautifully with my Harmony IR Remote (which I am also obsessed with). The HArmony IR Remote works seamlessly with ALL of my devices.
A:AnswerAs with any computer device, RAM is important and here I would always go for as much as I could afford. The memory is used for running the device itself, additional apps, updates to those apps and of course updates to the operating system. That being said, if I could not afford the 64GB version I would still buy the 32GB one. It's more of a longer term preference and insurance policy against running out (iPhone / iPad anyone).
