I connected the adapter to the usb-c port on my iMac using a hdmi cord and connected the the other end of the hdmi cord to one of my Samsung HD T.V.s ( I don't have your particular model Samsung T.V. ) and it mirrored my iMac's desktop on the T.V., no problem. Possibly you may have to adjust your resolution. I hope this info is helpful to you...
