“Will this watch work as a stand-alone device for a senior citizen who does not have an IPhone?”

Yes you will have to setup through a cellular carrier for it to work without a phone then it will work:)

Yes. You have to purchase a plan through your wireless carrier. I believe it’s $20-$30 a month through ATT.
