• The two key differences on the standard GPS versions are a faster processor (which will take a few more updates through the years) and a barometer, which will also track elevation as you move. Watch 3 also adds a cellular version to leave the phone at home

• The two major differences is that the 3 series has GPS and if fully water proof so you can go swimming with it on. The 2 series is water resistant.
