I believe it starts right away. If it’s still not showing up though then call Apple support. I’ve always had a great experience with their customer service.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To my knowledge, AppleCare never shows up in subscriptions. I’ve purchased many many AppleCare’s over the years, for me, they were never shown in my subscriptions. I received an email with each AppleCare detailing the coverage. Hope this helps!
