You can access your coverage in the setting of your device, go to about at the top and click on coverage. I have found it to be very effective to walk into the nearest Best Buy geek squad and set up an appointment for a diagnostic on the device. More than likely apple with replace the devices versus repair. You would have to go without it for a few days to receive the replacement. But the turnaround time had been fast. I hope this helps!
