...just a clarification on my original answer above. When I placed my pre-order, the card is charged an 'authorization' immediately. So it shows as a pending charge immediately...once it goes final (when the item ships), I'm sure the tax will be added also.

Please try again later.Hi, I just ordered mine today, 28 January, pre-order, and Best Buy sent me an email stating that I WOULD NOT be charged until the item itself is shipped. Which is currently March 30th, 2021 on release day. Anytime I have pre-ordered items here on Best Buy with my account, I have NEVER been charged prior to the item shipping or pickup in person. That is a fact.

The temporary charge will be refunded to your account between one hour and seventy two hours, Best buy will make the final charge shortly before your item ships.
