I think from a size perspective, they will be mostly fine. However, unlike other Arcade1up machines, this does not offer an “extra lives” button to help you get through the game. Currently, it’s still like the original arcade with constant checkpoints throughout the course that if you don’t reach, the race is over. And like the original arcade, these time goals are difficult to reach. I’m sure with lots of practice a 9 year old can get good enough to handle it, but I’m sure it would be very frustrating initially. It’s a lot to spend on a game that your child might have difficulty getting to finish even one lap. I’m hoping there’s a patch in the future to allow you to add more time because it’s difficult for even me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My 8-year-old enjoys it and can play comfortably. His eyes are about the height of the screen, and he can easily operate the steering wheel and pedals. Keep in mind that these games are somewhat difficult (you won't make it far if you just keep the pedal to the floor), so young children may get frustrated easily without some help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My average size 7 year old plays almost daily
