• The hub is needed to connect Arlo products. It connects to your home internet via Ethernet cable. Then the hub sends the WiFi signal to the cameras and other products. The hub also has usb that can allow for local storage instead of all cloud based.

• Arlo SmartHub does not only provide a secure wifi connection solely for the Arlo cameras but it also gives an extra layer of security to the system. It connects wired to network via ethernet cable. ^RM
