Can't answer your question regarding comparison, but I had the same issue with the Ultra regarding shadows/tree and resolved it by lowering motion sensitivity to 65% and limit the motion detection area.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I only have the ultra and it's great not even 1 false detection in 3 mths
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe so. You can set your motion zones and it seems like their AI improves the more it is running as it is able to learn the usual parameters of the frame. For example, I don't get alerts with my air conditioner from audio triggers because it has learned that it is a standard in the space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Viewing areas and sensitivity levels can now be adjusted under settings that has improved the motion detection mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I currently have the arlo pro 2 as well and deciding on buying more or these new ultras. I was actually going to take back the ones I have but tried the one month free subscription plan and now actually like them because it makes a huge difference with the subscription and getting less notifications. It’s $10month for 30days cloud and 10 cameras so it’s not that bad on subscription cost when u do that plan. I also have the POE Night Owl cams to be my more 24/7 Continuous recording, non subscription back up cameras so I don’t have to pay the expensive arlo CVR plan per camera. If my WiFi wasn’t sketchy, I’d probably actually be ok with the arlos alone but certain areas of my house are kinda slow and I definitely don’t want to miss any criminal activity. I’m pretty sure the motion detection is the same on both Pro 2 and Ultra cameras and from what I’ve read on comparing them, it’s really the subscription that will make the difference. Unless you need the siren and light feature with the ultras, I’ve read arlo pro 2 are actually better because the 4K still doesn’t show license plates.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, if you pay for premium ai detection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Are they motion activated
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. At the initial installation we were having a lot of notifications. However the very next day, Memorial Day of all days we called their support team. The wait time was long I’m sure due to the holiday weekend. Spoke with their support team and she resolved our issues within moments. We have had no issues ever since. Nothing is perfect and they do updates on their system as needed. Overall I LOVE MY RING DOORBELL!
