The main reason you'd want the SB6141 is the 8 downstream channels (vs 4 on the SB6121). That helps to maintain your speed, even when the network is congested. If and when the network speeds increase or you upgrade to a higher plan, the SB6141 would be able to handle up to 100Mbps (vs 50Mbps on the SB6121).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on what speed your provider gives you. In short, unless you are a power user that pulls one of your providers top-tier internet speeds (Over 160 Mbps down), you won't notice the difference. The 121 can only support speeds up to 161 Mbps down, while the 141 will support up to 300 Mbps down. Other than that, at a more standard package of 50 Mbps down, you won't be able to tell the difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My base line testing has shown very little difference - I would assume if you happen to live in an area that provides very high speed internet ( hundreds of meg down ) perhaps you would notice the difference -- I get 40 meg down and could not see a difference at all between the 2, I did though end up going with the 6141 simply because I am hoping to have this modem for several years, and in the event speeds increase and it does make a difference, I am not regretting my decision. That said though, I have been unable to produce a noticeable difference between the two in my environment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes the speed is significant enough to notice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To take full advantage of the faster modem, you should upgrade your internet speed. I own the 6141 and it works fantastic even though I did not upgrade my speed. Seems faster than my old 5100 series
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless you have 100 - 300 mbps from your Internet service provider there isn't going to be much of a difference. I do recommend you buy the SB6141 that way if you upgrade your Internet speed it will definitely support it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Right now no. The 41 has higher potential for future proofing as isp's get better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes SB6141 has faster speeds. You can compare them on Motorola website as well as examine the box specs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We don't use our internet to to limits, so to be truth full. I can not tell the difference.
