The modem itself isn't MoCA enabled. It can however be used with the TiVo MoCA system. I have this in my house and we have 2 completely different MoCA TiVo systems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Motorola SURFboard SB6141 does not come with a MoCA filter, and does not have MoCA built in, but, your cable company should provide you with an adapter that will fit on the SURFboard for no extra charge. I added the Cox Whole Home DVR service about a year ago, and yes, any of the cable services that create a "local network" inside your house for their DVR service (where one DVR can access another), require a MoCA filter to be added to your cable modem, since the signal used by the DVR network can interfere with the signal used by your cable modem for Internet. When I first got Cox Whole Home DVR installed, it was a fairly new service, and was causing minor and intermittent packet loss on my Internet connectivity, which I didn't notice at first. But once I did, I had a series of techs out over a period of a few months, and each one had their own opinion about the MoCA's configuration -- the final tech who was out said he had just attended a seminar on MoCA, and the proper way to install it was on the modem itself, but separated by a jumper (so from my modem, there is a tiny run of coax, then the MoCA, then another coax run that connects to the wall fitting). Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to split the cable before the modem, then go to another splitter after that and feed all your Tivo's. Get a Holland MoCA filter too. Put it in-between the modem and the Tivos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you just need to buy a Coaxial to MoCA adapter for less than $30 and install it between where the cable comes into your wall and the Motorola Surfboard modem. I have a MoCA network with a TiVO DVR and 4 Minis and it is working great with the Adapter. Make sure you have a MoCA "enabled" coaxial cable splitter coming to the house along with the suggested MoCA filter. If you have any other splitters in your house, make sure they are MoCA appropriate as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.• The SB6141 includes an internal filter to eliminate potential interference from MoCA signals’ intermodulation beats
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is not MOCA enabled but it does have a MOCA filter on it. You will still need a secondary MOCA/Ethernet interface for your TIVO.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. This is a cable modem not a moca receiver/sender.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Per the modem spec sheet, available here, http://arrisi.force.com/consumers/articles/Specifications/SB6141-Specification-Sheet, the SB6141 has a built-in filter for MoCA interference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have a Tivo connected to the surfboard. I obtained a cable modem card that fits into my Tivo and this works well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to Motorola website to get complete spec list for the SB6141 modem.
