A:AnswerYou have to set the password for the wifi
Because the factory password is very long and cumbersome .
factory password is printed under the router.
also you need to change the admin password from the default "password"
to something else. i recommend something easy to remember or some string of number or letter that is printed on the router or your phone number in reverse .
That way you will never lose it
you also want do disable the guest mode (default off i think)
so nobody is sucking of your internet
it take about 30 min to set the router up
A:AnswerYes, but I would set the Router / Modem combo to no longer broadcast and function only as a modem to prevent broadcast communication issues. Setting can be changed on the website when you log into your ARRIS
A:AnswerMine does stream 4K easily. However it does not have phone hook up unfortunately as I literally just learned this today while having xfinity service installed.
A:AnswerThis is definitely a suitable option to replace your router with Xfinity. You just need to know exactly how much square footage you're trying to cover. I would not recommend this product if you have a multi-level house as you will definitely need an extender to give you complete coverage
A:AnswerIt is a router/modem combo so you only need this for connecting your wireless thru your service provider. I do not know about the buffering question, sorry I can't help with that.
