- Answer McAffee is optional and quite frankly, this iteration you get with it is completely useless. Don't even bother with it! I don't know what the range is, but my Surfboard is about 200ft away from my PC with about 4 walls between two, and another 10 devices or so about the home. We have no connection problems or drops.

- Answer Optimum allows DOCSIS-certified DOCSIS 3.1 modem or Gateway for all internet speeds without phone service. You can use a DOCSIS 3.0 gateway such as the SBG7600AC2 with Optimum Internet (no phone service) service for speeds up to 500Mbps but you may not achieve the full performance of the service you are subscribing to.

- Answer Cat8 Ethernet cables have RJ45 connectors and will connect to the Ethernet ports on the SBG7600AC2. However, the maximum data rate for each Ethernet port is 1 Gbps.

- Answer The SBG7600 is not on Spectrum's compatible modem list. You will need to subscribe to the higher speed plan and purchase a modem compatible with the subscribed speed plan to boost your speed.

- Answer The SBG7600 is not a mesh device and cannot be part of the mesh system. However, you can connect a mesh system to the SBG7600 and set the SBG7600 in bridged mode to function as a cable modem only.

- Answer The SBG6700 is not listed on Breezeline's compatible modem list. Similar models that are compatible with Breezeline are SBG7400AC2, and SBG7600AC2. They will work with Ooma telephone since Ooma device connects with Ethernet cable.
