Yes, this modem/router connects to Comcast/Xfinity's cable network and it then provides 2.4 and 5G wifi in house. Owning this device makes the unit rented from Xfinity redundant so it pays for itself in less than a year in rental fee savings. Setup is quick and easy, too.
