• A:Answer Hi, it works with Charter Spectrum, Xfinity. I did not a Phone line cause I replaced what was there before. but i believe you have to have a cable line setup maybe from your other cable company. This Cable Modem works great, no internet drops. It has been steady since I installed it

Q: QuestionIs this item similar to Motorola MB7621? The Xfinity customer rep suggested this and I found out later on that there are equipments that are priced more economically than this Arris G36. What makes it better than the other less expensive brands?

• A:Answer Hello - it might be best to use the "Compare" feature on the site to do a side-by-side comparison. A quick comparison will show that the G36 is the newest technology - DOCSIS 3.1 modem, and Wi-Fi 6 router. Only DOCSIS 3.1 modems can achieve Gigabit speeds so if you subscribe to Gigabit speed plans, the older DOCSIS 3.0 modems won't achieve those speeds (the Motorola MB7621 is DOCSIS 3.0 and Wi-Fi 5). It really comes down to what speeds you subscribe to and how to get the most out of those speeds. Hope this helps.
