I have Xfinity and purchased this router and I am very happy! Much better than the stock Comcast Router and you save a ton of money over time. I also purchased a Belkin signal amplifier(access point) and it's made a huge difference!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is up to you. Your old router will continue to work with just a DOCSIS 3.0 Modem. The benefit here is that it is all in one package. If I personally already have a router, I would just simply continue using that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You're better off using a separate cable modem and router. The all-in-one cable modem/Wi-Fi routers tend to have limited range and configuration options compared to using separate versions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This product is a modem and router in one device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the service provider that we use, it is only necessary to have this device. A separate device is not necessary. If it is, your service provider should provide you with that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IMHO, I would just get the modem version and invest in a dual band router that broadcasts simultaneously so you can run at both 2.4 or 5ghz. This gives you a better option than the combo modem/router
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I upgraded to modem router unit and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! Easy set up compatible with Mediacom. Almost all my problems with my Mediacom internet stopped when I upgraded. Now I only have a problem when they are down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you consider your current router to be pretty good, I'd just purchase the cable modem rather than this combo unit. I personally think the router on this combo unit isn't very good. I only switched to the combo unit because I was having issues with my super-speedy $140 Netgear router not wanting to connect to my wireless HP printer. Googling led me to several forums about how HP & Netgear don't like to "play nicely together in the sandbox," so I thought perhaps a wholesale switch to Motorola would help. It did help the printer issues, but I feel like my wireless network speed slowed dramatically with this router compared to the Netgear one I used previously, and even compared to the ancient Linksys (G) router I used prior to that Netgear! Hope that helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think a superior router is just as important if not more so than a good modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I continue to use my Asus RT-N65R router.
