Not reliable at all! I ended up getting the netgear n600 and my wifi is perfect now!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have been using mine for 2 years and haven't experienced any issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Jim It works great and I just switched to Time Warner. I had Verizon's internet and switched to TW since they offered almost triple the speed for10 bucks less, so can't say it's Arris or TW service, but together I have no complaints.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far, it has worked great for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had mine for a month. Never had a connection drop. Running 54 MPS. That's as high as my laptop will go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The life expectancy i have seen as a Network Consultant is usually 6-8 years on one of these surfboard cable modems. Well worth buying one to save service provider monthly appliance fees. For your internal network if you have only 3 or 4 devices connected to the network could see some improvement, if you are currently only connected to the sbg860a, that is if you are not using a gigabit switch to connect your internal devices. If you use an internal Gigabit switch you should see no difference in performance. And your hard wired internet connections will probably not change noticeably, but the WiFi should improve in distance and in performance speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your Wifi connectivity will probably increase a fair amount in speed and distance, but the hard wired connection will probably not change dramatically. Unless your service provider (Comcast?) is giving you an excess of 200 mb/s download speeds.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem/wifi router combo is great. Your internet speed is dependent on the package you sign up for. This equipment is compatible with the higher speeds but doesn't speed things up on its own. If you've got a ton of devices, kids, or stream a lot - signing up for a plan that offers speeds of 50mbps (megabits per second) or more is suggested. 100mbps is awesome. But if it's just you and you have 1-5 devices in a small/medium house/apartment you could get away with any speed over 20mbps and be very pleased. If the house is large and you have signal issues/slow speeds after your first week (despite being on a nice 50mbps internet speed plan) - look into a WiFi repeater or signal amplifier. (Like the netgear ac1200) This Arris SBG 6580 modem/ router combo is great for all the below scenarios too: I always suggest 50mbps plans for multitaskers, streamers and gamers. Families with more than 1 kid using 1 or more devices - 50mbps or more.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The original one I bought didnt work for a multiple floor house, returned it for a stronger model that works great, SBG6700AC
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We bought (saved money by not renting) an SBG6580 a few years ago, during which time it has worked with no problem that could be attributed to the modem: with one computer wired and one wi-fi. The one wi-fi issue was due to the computer chronically failing to retain wi-fi settings; I eventually opted for a wired connection. Regarding wi-fi: we have had guests from Aruba, Colombia, and Argentina who have used this modem with smart phones to keep in touch with family members and never had a problem. Where we live internet speed (Comcast) gets slow on holiday weekends, etc. - friends from other parts of town report complain slower speeds at those times si again, I cannot blame the modem. Our Apple TV is also connected to this modem yet Netflix (that get us HD) never slows down, even when internet is crawling and websites fail to open.
