I just purchased the S33 at Best buy in Lynnwood, WA on 6/14/2023, there was no indication on the box of what "Model" it was other than S33, its not until you open the box and look at the Quick Start Guide when you see what "Model" it is, my Model was an S33v2 so yes they do sell the v2. They had a stack of them there at the time of purchase but do not know if they are all v2's or if a mix. According to the feedback here from Arris it sounds like it doesn't matter anyway, but their issue is that there is a new version v2 and we all think that means its improved based on how other products present model #'s, this just adds in the case a bit of confusion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.XFINITY stated that the ARRIS Surfboard S33v2 is NOT SUPPORTED. GO FIGURE! Arris says it is the same as the S33 2 days ago XFINITY could not get their system to accept a MAC ID from an ARRIS S33V2, which I bought at Best Buy 2 days ago. The box only says it is an S33V2 on the tiny PN/SN/UPC label on the bottom of the box. The same label is on bottom of the modem itself. Except for this the box is indistinguishable from from the original S33. Experienced XFINITY engineers spent more than an hour and could not get their system to provision for it. They ultimate stated that the ARRIS Surfboard S33V2 is NOT SUPPORTED.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one IS V2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In order to maintain high quality standard and ensure production continuity, ARRIS sometimes sources components from different vendors, indicated by different hardware versions. Regardless of the hardware version, the products all meet the same technical specification, requirement, and customer expectation. There is no difference in performance between versions.
