This modem does not include a router. It is not true that all DOCSIS 3.0 modems have built-in routers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are going to hook up to more than one device, or want wifi than you would also need a router. 2 different tools for different jobs. If only one computer, you could plug right into this with no router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No not all of them. They will say it on the box though. I used my old wireless router to keep my cost down.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a modem only. If you have more than one computer that you want to use with this modem, you will need a router. It has a single Ethernet port and no wireless capabilities.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem does not have a router. I'm using a Linksys WRT1900ACS behind it. Awesome combo, great speed, and the router is second to none
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a cable modem and a cable wireless modem. So if you bought the modem just like I did you would need to purchase a separate wireless router. There are two thoughts on this subject. 1. Separate devices gives you the ability to upgrade and replace should you need or want too. 2. Having it all in one requires less setting up; drawback is if one goes out then you have to buy a new wireless cable modem. I have always bought separate components to reduce future costs.
