Please help! I just bought this modem and now my old Nighthawk 7600 won’t work. I called Comcast and they are no help. I originally set up the modem connected to a PC. Now when I plug in my router it won’t connect to the internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Any wireless router with an Ethernet WAN port should work (that’s all of them). To get the most out of this modem, look for a router with a gigabit WAN port (that’s most of them these days). Without knowing more about how many devices and what types of devices you will be connecting, it is hard to give you great advice, but generally speaking you should look for an 802.11AC router. AC routers will be compatible with the most devices and offer speeds that are more than sufficient for most users. There are newer AD and AX routers available, but AC is still a better option for most users. I would personally suggest routers from Netgear or ASUS, but that is mostly personal preference. I have also heard good things about some of the routers from TP-Link and Linksys as well.

You simply connect the ethernet cable from the cable modem to the WiFi router's WAN port and you're probably going to be up and running with the default settings. Whichever product you do end up buying, be sure to check that it is currently running the latest firmware available.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Asus rt-ac68u and it worked fine, although the sb8200 would not stay connected to the internet.......ended up getting the cm1000 and my wifi is awesome now. (Xfinity)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recommend the Google OnHub router for ease of use and setup. Can set up multiple to create a mesh network with no dead spots in your house without extra cabling.
