Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Here's the perfect reference site for you, it outlines the Arris modems compatible with the various Cox internet offerings. https://compatiblemodems.com/cox/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On the box, it says "Compatible with Cox and Xfinity". I don't think there is a box picture here on BestBuy, but it is on the one I bought. So yes. This is the best modem only currently out, in my opinion. I would get this and save your modem rental fee :) Please Note: This is a modem only. Your TG2472 is a modem/router combo. Meaning that if you get rid of it, you won't have a way to connect all of your devices unless you already have a router. I personally dislike modem/router combos, and elect for a great modem and a great router separate, for full control. If you don't already have a router, I suggest the Linksys WRT3200ACM.
I would recommend:

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We researched our cable website and they had a list of compatibile devices. Also, ARRIS SURFboard cable modem had the cable company directly written on the box. So buying this product was an easy choice.
