Would this work with an Xbox elite controller? null

My son has the $250.00 version (Astro Gaming - A40 TR Wired Stereo Gaming Headset for PS4, PC with MixAmp Pro TR Controller - Blue/Black). He has to plug the aux cord into the mix amp then plug in the controller for it to work. He did some research and found youtube very helpful it you type in how to set up your Astro A40 controller.
