• Unplug mic connector and microphone piece. Plug them back in and check the cable and mute button.

• if you're plugging it straight into the controller via the chat line, make sure your mic is set to on. -push the xbox button on the controller -scroll to the right where the setting should be -look for audio, click on it and there should be a on/off for mic.
