A:AnswerYes it does. I just got them today in the mail and it said “Xbox one” on them so I was kinda upset because I thought I would have to exchange them. But there’s a switch on the back to change it from Xbox one to PC mode and it works with PS4 on PC mode.
A:AnswerIt’s going to work a little differently depending on which system you opt for, as well as by headset model. Wired sets like the A10, A40, and A40TR will continue to use the 3.5mm port on both the Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Wireless rigs like the A20, the MixAmp Pro TR, and A50 Wireless will work via USB with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X; the latter system requires the headset to download a firmware update. For a full audio mix on the PS5, gamers will need to pick up an HDMI adapter from the company’s website for $40.
A:AnswerI had the same question myself, but luckily this video answered just about all of them. Hope this helps! Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6u6QiVRsWOE
A:AnswerThere are only 2 versions for gen 4 astro A50. PS4 version and XBOX ONE version, both compatible with pc. Model number 939-001673 is ps4/pc version (black) and model number 939-001680 xbox (gray). Both have a switch at the back of base station for console or pc. This headset is great Only downside is the price.
A:AnswerThe mixamp is combined into the base station where you dock the headset. Therefore, you can do mixamp type things on the right ear cup of the headset such as balance game/chat sound and master volume.
A:AnswerHonestly, you could use it straight out of the box but I recommend that you do complete the setup through the computer. I started to use mine without the setup and it works fine but my teammates would always complain about how low I sounded and that I sounded super far so I’d say just to do the setup.
A:AnswerThese certainly will work with PS5 as well. Last Gen consoles utilized audio passthrough by optical cable and can now accomplish surround sound through usb!
A:AnswerYes. As long as you connect the charging base which acts as the wireless hub to your tv. You will have to connect the Optic cables for the tv + base plus power on the base by connecting via USB port. If your TV does not have optic outputs then this will not work. When connecting your device to the PS4, you will only be able to access any and all content from your PS4 wirelessly when it comes to audio.
A:AnswerHi Skamikaze1983,
Yes, best buy allows its tech writer to review products prior to release and in this case, I don't know when the release is but you can pre-order it if you want to.
A:AnswerI have not, but my recommendation would be to contact astro as they potentially have seen this issue on a larger scale. It could potentially be the cable and since its a non-standard 3.5mm cable they may send you one for free and from my experience they should send it to you for free if youre still under warranty.
A:AnswerIt has a base station that pugs into your pc via usb for power. The headset connects to the base station. You can also connect the headset to the base station via micro usb if you get to the point where the battery dies down.
A:AnswerI assume you mean the base when you say "console". There is a micro USB port on the bottom next to the contact pads for charging on the base. I briefly plugged it in that way, and it seemed to work as a charger. If so, I will be using that going forward, as the base as a charger is stupidly horrible design.
