Ken, yes you can. I too have Frontier with an Actiontec router. There are several connection possibilities and not sure how you want this to be set up but if you want to use the wi-fi on the ASUS and no longer use the Wi-Fi on the Actiontec, all you need to do is connect an Ethernet cable from any one of the 4 ports from you Actiontec to the BLUE connector on your ASUS router. Then, set up the ASUS in AP MODE. You can use the same SSID and Password for both 2.4G and 5G you have on the Actionec. Then go into the Actiontec and disable the Wi-Fi. Now, all of your Wi-Fi devices are connected to the ASUS and since it is cable-connected to the Actiontec, you'll have Internet access.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to call your internet provider and have them turn off their WiFi and put it in bridge mode. Then it will just be a pass thru to the asus router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most modem/router combos will allow you to disable the router function and then you can insert the new router into your system. If you have been having modem performance issues or have experienced a frequent need to reboot the modem to keep it linked, it might be a good time to replace your modem. Your internet provider can give you a list of compatible modems.
