Q: QuestionPCI Express 2.1 x16Does anyone know if this is compatible with an Inspirion 660s' PCI Express x16 slot? I read there might be issues with 2.1 and older 1.0 slots... (And I assume here that the 660s has a 1.0 slot)

• A:Answer It might not, other people have reviewed that is does no come with a low profile bracket. Look at the back of your computer, a low profile bracked will be about 2 inches in length where the PCI rear slots are on the back of the case. A standard length bracket will be about 4-5 inchs. In the link shows what you will need to make sure the card comes with. Based on your case design you will need this low profile bracket for whatever low profile video card you get.

Q: QuestionCompatible for laptops...?Just was the title states, can this video card work with a laptop? Sadly I'm not a tech expert so of course I am not knowledgeable about this and wish to know if amd Radeon cards, specifically this one, can work with a laptop. The one I am thinking of upgrading with this card (if it works), is a 2012 hp 2000 notebook pc.

Q: QuestionCompatabilityI read the first question and it did not exactly answer mine. Can I use this graphics card with my desktop that is NOT an Asus? I am using an HP Pavilion Model p7-1234 with a AMD A6-3650 APU with Radeon HD Graphics at 2.60 GHz. I believe that my Motherboard has the slot to hold the graphics card but I am unsure. Even if i could switch from my old Graphics card (GC) to this one, should I? The only reason why I am considering is because I've taken a look inside my desktop multiple times (for cleaning purposes) and I have not seen a GC in the slot where it should be. I don't know if I'm just not seeing it or what, but this is why I'm looking for a "new" GC. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

• A:Answer The reason you're probably not seeing a GC or graphics card per say is because your computer is reading the on board graphics chip. Or the APU for instance. An APU is basically a graphics diode and cpu or processor combined together to make a faster chip. Or as so AMD claims. There fore the PCI Express slot usually blue colored would be empty. The slot for a GC or GPU would be located bottom of motherboard and has to have a slot opened on the slits to the rear or the case.

• A:Answer AMD was your first misstake. 1- I would replace with a NVIDIA GTX 970 or GTX 980 But if you bent on keeping it you will need to go to ASUS home page and find your card under support and then drivers and bios. Download the newest drivers and follow the install instructions. Then get a NVIDIA GTX 970 GDDR5 4GB and enjoy a real graphical experience.
