yes, you have to load the disc to run the program and it will give your pc wifi.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ASUS wireless adapter is compatible with Windows 7. Don't plug the device into the USB until the install program says to do it. Go to the ASUS website and download the driver for Windows 7. This will be the installation app. If your computer is not connected to the Internet, then go to one that is and save the download to a USB drive. Then run the app from the USB drive on your computer.

As I told Gene, I needed it because my replacement used computer did not have a functioning wifi radio so I was able to use this to plug into a USB port to connect . Love it . Cheap solution to my problem!
